The shift pattern is 12 hour shifts, 6hrs, 7.5hrs (when required)

This post is based in Ward 49 Plastic Surgery Admission and Day Surgery Unit at Glasgow Royal Infirmary. The Plastic Surgery Unit covers the West of Scotland, admitting elective and emergency admissions. We care for patients who require reconstructive surgery for skin cancer, breast cancer and traumatic injuries. You will work alongside a multi-disciplinary team of medical staff, nurses, healthcare support workers, physiotherapists and specialist nurses.
Working hours are generally Monday to Friday 3x 12 hour shifts, however, there is a requirement to cover core shifts and night shifts when required. Successful candidates will demonstrate the ability to work to high standards in a fast-paced environment and are required to complete competencies such as venepuncture and cannulation. NHS experience is desirable but not essential. You will be flexible, forward thinking and able to work effectively within a changing and dynamic environment. Experience of working within a day unit would be beneficial but not essential.
