As a Dual Registered Manager at Muve Homecare, you will be responsible for overseeing the operations of two Ofsted-registered children's homes, ensuring high-quality care, compliance with regulations, and the well-being of the children. You will provide leadership, support, and guidance to staff while maintaining a safe and nurturing environment that aligns with Muve Homecare’s values and commitment to excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
Leadership & Management:
- Provide strong leadership and direction to staff teams across two children's homes.
- Ensure effective deployment and management of resources.
- Foster a positive and supportive working environment in line with Muve Homecare’s ethos.
- Lead by example, promoting a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
Regulatory Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with Ofsted regulations, Children's Homes (England) Regulations 2015, and the Quality Standards.
- Maintain and uphold all safeguarding policies and procedures.
- Prepare for and lead Ofsted inspections, ensuring good or outstanding ratings.
- Maintain accurate records, reports, and audits in line with regulatory requirements.
Child-Centered Approach:
- Ensure each child receives personalized, high-quality care in line with their individual needs and care plans.
- Promote the physical, emotional, and educational well-being of the children.
- Advocate for children's rights and participation in decision-making processes.
- Work closely with families, social workers, and other stakeholders to achieve positive outcomes.
Staff Development & Performance Management:
- Recruit, train, and develop a skilled and motivated workforce that upholds Muve Homecare’s standards.
- Conduct regular supervision, appraisals, and team meetings.
- Address performance issues and implement improvement plans when necessary.
- Promote a culture of learning and development within the homes.
Operational & Financial Management:
- Oversee budgeting and financial planning for both homes.
- Ensure efficient use of resources without compromising care quality.
- Monitor occupancy levels and manage placements effectively.
Safeguarding & Health & Safety:
- Act as the Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) for the homes.
- Ensure all safeguarding concerns are reported and managed appropriately.
- Maintain safe and secure environments for children and staff.
- Ensure homes comply with health and safety regulations.
Essential Requirements:
- Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management for Residential Childcare (or willingness to complete).
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a Registered Manager in a children's residential setting.
- Proven track record of achieving Good or Outstanding Ofsted ratings.
- Strong knowledge of Ofsted regulations, Children's Homes Regulations, and Quality Standards.
- Experience in managing multiple teams and locations.
- Excellent leadership, decision-making, and communication skills.
- Strong understanding of safeguarding and child protection procedures.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet regulatory deadlines.
- A full UK driving license and willingness to travel between homes.
Desirable:
- Experience working with children with emotional and behavioral difficulties (EBD), complex needs, or trauma.
- Experience in business and financial management.
- Therapeutic childcare training or knowledge of trauma-informed practice.
