CLNQ is a leading clinic in the North West with sites in Cheshire and Manchester. We are looking for an experienced clinic or hospital manager to join our team and lead the launch of our new hospital in central Manchester. This is an exciting opportunity to join and grow a team at the new site and assist with the group. The new hospital offers state of the art facilities for our existing and new patients. General principles of the post
* Drive and develop the new development of the new hospital
* Become the CQC Registered Manager
* Deliver high standards of care and excellence
* Lead the team and organise the staff
Business Development
* Maintain, develop and market new and existing services
* Assist in production of marketing / advertising / promotional material
* Facilitate the promotion of new services to the clinic
* Develop opportunities for new consultants and specialties to join the hospital
Financial performance
* Monitor financial performance and report on key performance indicators
* Assist in finanical statements, VAT return and payroll
* Coordinate with the company accountants to ensure timely delivery of requested information
* Procurement of clinic equipment, supplies and services ensuring expenditure is logged appropriately.
* Oversee bank staff payments
CQC
* Registered Manager for the hospital
* Complete understanding of the role of the CQC and regulatory requirements
* Understanding and familiarity of all existing policies and protocols
* Involvement in writing new policies and protocols for the clinic
* Ensure all audits are carried out and effectively monitored
* Monitor and ensure all standards are met
* Maintain up-to-date knowledge of regulatory and professional standards and changes in CQC framework
* This will be supported with CQC advisors
Health & Safety
* Oversight of health and safety in the hospital
* Identify the risks involved in work activities and undertaking such activities in a way that manages those risks
* Ensure health and safety risk assessments timely and findings appropriately managed
* Management of the site risk register and incidents and use of online platform BrightSafe
* Use appropriate infection control procedures, maintaining work areas in a tidy and safe way and free from hazards
* Ensure fire safety up to date and risks identified in fire risk assessments appropriately managed
Facilities Management
* Maintaining and monitoring standards of cleaning and hygiene throughout the building
* Responsibility for the operational management of the building including out of hours contact, security, access control and key holding
* Oversight of maintenance of equipment
* Coordination of the oxygen and air supply for the hospital
* Operational management of the building, including, but not limited to, liaising with contractors, suppliers, builders, insurance companies and landlord
* Ensure adequate fire prevention and security systems are in place
Human Resources
* Recruitment and retention of staff including bank staff
* Oversee staff induction and training and ensure that all staff are adequately trained to fulfil their role
* Support and appraisal of team members
* Ensure all HR and Recruitment documents and policies are up to date
* Manage staff rota, bank staff, annual leave
Organisational
* Produce weekly and monthly reports on key performance indicators
* Chair meetings such as Medicines Advisory Committee, Governance Committee, preparation of agendas and distribution of minutes as necessary
* Ensure all staff and clinicians are involved in maintaining high standards or care and compliance with CQC
Qualifications
* Previous CQC registered manager
* Experience in management role in CQC registered clinic or hospital (2 years minimum)
* Experience in private hospital environment
