Role Description:
We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Senior Care Assistant to join our team. As a Senior Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to our residents. Your leadership skills and expertise in care will contribute to creating a safe environment for our residents.
Duties:
– Assist in developing and implementing individual care plans for residents
– Provide personal care, including bathing, dressing, and feeding
– Administer medication as prescribed by healthcare professionals
– Monitor residents’ health and well-being, reporting any changes or concerns to the appropriate personnel
– Assist with mobility and transfers, ensuring the safety of residents at all times
– Support residents in engaging in social activities and maintaining their independence
– Supervise and mentor care staff, providing guidance and support as needed
– Maintain accurate documentation of care provided and any incidents or observations
Requirements:
– Previous experience working in a care home or similar setting is essential
– Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with residents, families, and healthcare professionals.
– Strong leadership abilities with the ability to supervise and motivate a team
– A compassionate nature with a genuine desire to provide the best possible care for seniors
– Proficient in using basic IT systems for documentation purposes
