Job Details
Supporting adults with learning disabilities and/or mental health disorders within their own homes and to access the local community.
This role includes day shifts, late shifts, sleepovers and nightshifts and weekend working all applicants must be able to do all shift patterns. This may be in a shared tenancy or single tenancy; successful applicants will be expected lone work at times.
Successful applicants will be provided with all necessary training such as Moving and Handling, CALM, ESCAPES.

The Person
- Must have, or be willing to achieve in the first period of registration, the Social Services and Healthcare SCQF level 6 (equivalent to SVQ2) or equivalent to meet Scottish Social Services Council registration
- Communication skills, Organisational skills, Ability to manage and prioritise workload, Ability to work with minimal supervision, Team working skills, Literacy skills, Basic IT skills
- Ability to provide support to individuals with personal care needs, Moving & Handling, ability to undertake physical tasks e.g. being able to comfortably kneel on beds and floors and able to rise without difficulty.
Before confirming your appointment, you will be required to obtain Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) scheme membership through Disclosure Scotland and become a member of the relevant PVG scheme.
As this role requires SSSC registration, the successful applicant will have three months to apply for registration.
