Join the Buckland Care Family as Our New Area Manager!
We’re on the lookout for an exceptional Area Manager to care for five of our homes across Dorset (Poole), Hampshire (Fareham), and the Isle of Wight.
About the Role
As our Area Manager, you’ll be the go-to support for the home managers in your region, providing guidance, reassurance, and practical help every day. Your role will involve visiting the homes throughout the week, ensuring they run smoothly - financially, operationally, and in full compliance with CQC standards.
You’ll carry out audits, offer hands-on assistance where needed, and help managers overcome challenges, big or small. Should a manager need time away, you may step in to oversee operations at their home, ensuring everything stays on track.
Collaboration is at the heart of what we do. You’ll work closely with our other Area Manager, Directors, and Senior Management Team to implement exciting new initiatives and ensure our homes consistently deliver the best care possible.

About YOU
- Registered Manager experience and either ‘Good’ or ‘Outstanding’ CQC reports achieved
- Excellent understanding of the CQC regulations and other regulatory bodies
- Strong management skills & excellent communication skills
- Business minded with ideas to keep costs down and occupancy levels up
- Adaptable & self-motivated
- Dynamic with fresh ideas
- Excellent time keeper, reliable, professional, smart appearance
- Good computer and report writing skills
- Willing to drive and use own car (with mileage paid)
- Willing to stay overnight at different locations when necessary
