We are looking for motivated, dynamic and enthusiastic Physiotherapists to join our well-established musculoskeletal Team at the new Forest of Dean Hospital. With potential for out-reach clinics at Lydney Health Centre
You will be required to work in the outpatient’s department managing a comprehensive range of MSK conditions. We receive self- referrals, GP, Consultant in addition to referrals from our Advanced Practitioner Service and Other Health Care Professionals.
There are some opportunities to expand knowledge in our pelvic health, vestibular and hand specialisms.
In Service Training is encouraged and supported. You will play an active part in the local and Countywide MSK in-service training programmes and be expected to commit to your own personal development.
Close links exist with the band 7 staff working in the Musculoskeletal Advanced Practitioner Service (MSKAPS.)
- To undertake all aspects of clinical duties as an autonomous practitioner to work independently with access to guidance from highly specialised Physiotherapists within Gloucestershire Health and Care Services
- To be professionally and legally accountable for a designated patient caseload and to decide priorities for own work area balancing other patient related and professional demands
- To be responsible for maintaining own competency to practice through continuing professional development activities including reflective practice, review of relevant literature, participation in local in-service training programmes and peer review, maintenance of a personal portfolio and the attendance of relevant training courses as identified within a personal development plan
- To maintain and develop current knowledge of evidence based practice within the musculoskeletal field and further develops specialist knowledge of specific conditions and patient types
- To assist more senior staff to supervise, train, advise, support and manage physiotherapists, students, more junior staff and Assistants performance
- To participate in the Gloucestershire Health and Care Services individual review process as an appraiser
