Wemyss Lodge is a Nursing and Complex Care home which has been open for over 20 years in Stratton St. Margaret Swindon, Wiltshire. Wemyss Lodge caters for a vast variety of care needs and works with the motto everyone deserves a home and family life.

As an experienced Care Assistant on nights, you will working as part of a team and need you will need to show Empathy and a warmth, compassionate nature towards our clients and their families.
our staff will help to promote independence and positively enhancing all our clients lives because they are the heart of everything we do.
To achieve this:
- You must have a positive attitude and be able to work in a person-centred way providing personal care, assisting with meals/fluids.
- Be compassionate and sensitive to our residents and their emotional needs.
- Communicate effectively with colleagues, residents, family and health care professionals.
- Our team need to understand dignity, respect and the importance of offering choice.
- Staff should have knowledge of how we are regulated by CQC. or an understanding of what CQC means.
Essential Educational Requirements for Care Assistants:
- Ideal candidates will have experience in Health and Social Care.
- NVQ/Diploma in health and social care preferable but not essential as this will be provided for once probation has been completed.
- We would welcome anyone also willing to train and work towards fully funded qualifications such as "advanced Dementia, Learning Disabilities, brain injuries, Mental health and much, much more.

Job Type
- Full-time of 36 hours per week
- Night shifts from 8.00pm to 8.00am (working week commences Monday to Sunday ) on a flexible working Rota which is completed a month in advance
- Overtime is available paid at enhanced rate.
